About Me

Onorio Chaparro is a passionate follower of the Lord Jesus Christ. Coming to faith at the age of 19, after a deep spiritual and existential crisis, Onorio has learned to see life from God's point of view.

Through the Emma Bowen Foundation, Onorio started interning in his senior year of high school at ABC Sports under the mentorship of Dennis Swanson and Dennis Lewin. After graduating from Hunter College, Onorio joined ABC Sports Online as an associate producer for two years before transitioning to Marketwatch's Online Editorial News Services.

Feeling a calling to serve people in a non-profit capacity, Onorio entered Princeton Theological Seminary, graduating in 2005 with his Masters in Divinity. That same year, he was ordained as a minister by the Christian Cultural Center (CCC) in Brooklyn, New York. There he began full-time work as a member of the clergy and Director of the International Christian Brotherhood (ICB), a Men’s Ministry founded by Dr. A.R. Bernard. Under Onorio’s leadership, ICB trains men through conferences, workshops, and small groups to become servant leaders in their homes, workplaces, communities, and the world.

Now also Director of CCC’s Maturity Division, Onorio oversees a comprehensive discipleship process at the church, from the conversion of new believers, to the education and assimilation of new members, to the formation of faith-based curricula in the Spiritual Life Institute. Onorio strives to cultivate learners and leaders at every stage of their maturation. This passion for developing people has driven Onorio’s own continuing studies, most recently culminating in the completion of his Doctorate in Ministry, in 2016, at Alliance Theological Seminary, with a focus on leadership and emerging adulthood.

Above all, as a teacher, mentor, and life coach, Onorio lives to equip people to discover their own unique purpose, as well as pathways for ongoing personal growth. He resides in Flatbush, Brooklyn, where he was born and raised, with his loving wife of sixteen years, Adrienne A. Chaparro and four dynamite children, Jeremiah, Ariana, Isaiah and Elisha.
